I am deeply interested in studying and building great golf courses and have immersed myself in these pursuits through a dedicated path which has taken me around the world and back again.

My journey begins as a high school freshman caddying on the weekends at the impeccably maintained Bedford Golf and Tennis club. Here my eyes were opened to the world of golf as I thumbed through golfers bag tags wondering about places like the National or Garden City and Winged Foot. Over the years, since my first summer in Bedford, I have visited and studied the golf courses of notable golden age architects as well as those in the modern era. Alister Mackenzie, C.B. MacDonald, Tom Doak, and Bill Coore to name a few, these men are considered visionaries in their designs and have all taken inspiration from the great links of Scotland. I also intend to do the same by absorbing all the links experiences I can fit into a lifetime dedicated to the pursuit of inspiring golf.

My insight into design and construction is primarily enforced through the apprentice style in which I learned how to design and build golf courses in Bandon, Oregon and Mullen Nebraska. With simply great timing I have been privileged to learn under the guidance of some of the best names in golf design today. Using their teachings as a beacon for my work going forward, I have been able to bring my skill and experience to places like New Zealand, and Uruguay.

I enjoy putting my hands in the dirt and love to practice the art of golf design in the field. It is the actual construction process with which I identify most strongly, laboring over the details as well as the big picture. With over 10 years of caddying experience, and a growing portfolio of golf construction and design, I believe I possess a complimentary and intuitive set of skills that enriches the quality of my work. I am always looking forward to continuing my path in the game of golf and relish in the opportunity to do my best work yet.

I look forward to hearing from you, please contact me with any opportunities or questions.
